Hello everyone, just wanted to send out an email for the week. First I would like to thank you for putting up with all the emails and updates lately. We've gone through a lot of growth recently and have some major events on the horizon. We are still in the process of updating our mailing lists and making them more effective, so any ideas would be appreciated.
Here are a few issues that were brought up at the last meeting:
-The College Republicans State Chair position is up for election...please send your nominations to ME by the end of the month. Any member is eligible for election.
-Ralph Samuels Fundraiser. Ralph Samuels is holding a fundraiser tomorrow, January 22, 2010, at the Sheraton Anchorage. We encourage all to attend. This is a great chance to network and meet with the candidates. (The UAA College Republicans are not affiliated with any official political party or candidate)
-Andy Clary Campaign. Andy Clary is running for Assembly and we, the CR's, extended an invitation to help him walk neighborhoods, make campaign phone calls, and hold signs. If you would like to donate your time or anything, please send me an email so I can coordinate with Mr. Clary.
-Lance Pruitt Campaign. Lance Pruitt is running for State House and like the Andy Clary Campaign, we also would like to help out as much as possible. The majority of the work needed will occur later in the year but there are still opportunities right now. Please email me so I can coordinate with Mr. Pruitt.
-Jason Cline Fundraiser. Our very own Jason Cline is running for State House and is hosting a fundraiser, Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Uncle Joes Pizza. Come out for some free food and drinks! A great opportunity to be a part of the future of Alaska by helping one of it's future leaders. -Not Evil Just Wrong. The movie event that we have been working on tirelessly is almost here..Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. We encourage everyone to attend and participate in the Q&A with the producers. To purchase tickets online and save $1 go to www.uaacollegerepublicans.org We hope to see many of you there!
